Social Justice and the Deification of Man: What You Need to Know When Talking to the Christian Left

Have you ever wondered why Christians on the left and Christians on the right never seem to be able to communicate when it comes to social justice? We can’t even agree on what the definition of social justice should be. Is it possible this is by design? Satan hates Christianity and wants us to be divided. He wants us to hate one another so much that we burn The Church down figuratively or literally. How can we communicate with our friends on the left whose hearts are in the right place, but may not realize the false doctrines they have been exposed to?

Social Justice and the Deification of Man: What to Know When Speaking With the Christian Left is about giving Christian conservatives the tools they need to understand what has happened within the progressive church and how to respond to it. How false teachings within the progressive church have led to the redefining of God and His relationship to man. Does God and man share the same essence as suggested by the progressive church or are we separate entities as taught in Genesis 3. Should we protect the environment because God called The Church to be good stewards of Creation or because Creation is part of God? Is man being reabsorbed into God through social justice or is the traditional teachings of redemption from sin the true gospel?

Should the focus of The Church be the self-actualization of man and his many philosophies and religions? Or The Great Commission to make disciples of all nations? Was Karl Marx an atheist or a gnostic who believed man becomes God through self-actualization and revolution? This book will discuss these and many any other questions and will end by asking how these ideas are impacting the wars in Ukraine and Israel.

Often, when speaking in churches about the state of the church and culture, someone inevitably comes up and asks how things got so bad so quickly. My response is, it didn’t. This has been in the making for nearly a century and a half, but most were not paying attention. It is sort of like a play. First, the play is written, then financial supporters and promoters who buy into the idea are recruited. A director to coordinate the players and the actors. When you arrive to watch the play, there may be some slight movement in the curtains, but once they go up, there is no thought by the audience of all that preceded the moment it began. That is pretty close to what we are seeing in the current zeitgeist of social justice and the deification of man. It is now being noticed because the curtain has gone up.
